the best and the worst

Maybe the articles in this blog should be more in easy format because there is always a person whose “evil” job is to keep track of what I wrote every two weeks to see if my writing skill is progressing. Fortunately, this person is a cute and nice young lady so I am still sort of doing this as an entertainment; but the unfortunate thing is (being so honest) my English writing skill has no big progress since two years ago. Specifically, at 2008, my SAT writing score was 390/800 and at 2009, it was 490/800. My TOFEL score for writing was 18/30 at 2008, and it was still 18/30 at 2009. You may think it might because I was not trying hard to improve my writing skill, but what I want to say is I do like writing but writing paper in essay format is such a pain. All the essay topics I’ve met were so abstract that I had no idea how to get a good score on them; therefore this article will not be in an essay format. I would like to share the best and the worst thing I am experiencing those two weeks.

First are the worst things: I just received a really poor grade on my ECE190 exam. I am not a study type of person but this grade is absolutely the lowest grade I’ve ever got my entire life. The reason why I chose engineering is I do not need to do a lot of papers, but now I really want to change my major because I am afraid I may not be able to graduate as an ECE student. Another worst thing is I feel so bored in the weekend!!!! I do not know where to go and the only thing I am doing is playing video games all day… why do I have so much homework??? It is even more than the homework I have in high school. I thought college should be easier. So many tough things… I feel so depressed. I want to forget all of this.

The best things are the followings: ... I really cannot think about any. Maybe I can have a good sleep today is the best thing because I messed up my time schedule for preparing my ECE190 exam last week.

Spring Brother, our brother

If you post this question on the internet: Who is the person of 2007—2009 of China? I believe eighty percent of the votes must go for Spring Brother. If you still think most Chinese people are Buddhists, then you are probably a foreigner who only read traditional Chinese history, or you are probably an aged person who neither uses internet nor watches TV. Spring Brother is the new representation of the spiritual ballast of Chinese youth because he is the real man. Whoever you are, if you sincerely believe Spring Brother, you will have any of your wish come true. You will revive after you die instantaneously with full health if you believe Spring Brother; you will get perfect score on your exams and you will never need to review if you worshiped Spring Brother’s home page before you taking the exams; you will rejuvenate and have eternal life if Spring Brother is your brother. Believe in Spring Brother and you resurrect at the same location immediately after your death. Simply, for everything you can image, just believe Spring Brother and he will bless and protect you. For now you are probably curious about who really is Spring Brother. Here he is:

Spring Brother comes on the stage @.@ Dang dang dang dang dang!!!!!! (music on)

Adherents worship on line please!!!!

Spring brother:” Don’t fall in love with me, I am just a legendary.”

Spring Brother is the nick name for a controversial pop music stars whose real name is Yu-Chun Li. He, actually she got her fame after she won the championship of the Super Girl contest at 2005. Everyone knows his real name but for some fantastic reasons, people prefer to call him Spring Brother instead of Yu-Chun Li. Literally, spring comes directly from the meaning of one of the Chinese words in his name. But the extension of the character “Spring “has a lot of connotations. Spring, as a noun in Chinese, could also describe a feeling only when people want to reproduce (…) Ok, it is becoming very inappropriate so I will not talk about spring any longer. He is called brother because of his very bisexual physical looking. There are a lot of better images on the internet so if you are interested in how “brother like” he is, you can google it. (I already did and there are a llllllot of it.) As a female, Spring brother has all the typical characteristics of male. His muscles are huge and his voice is deep. He looked so awkward when dressing like a female, especially when he is trying to be sexy. It is sort of wired when he is announced as one of the most significant figure in China (positive here). But on the internet, he becomes a phenomenon when people making jokes such as your pectoral muscle have a good shape like Spring Brother’s or you failed your exam because you did not worship Spring Brother yesterday. People also photeshop many pictures of him to be funny such as Spring Brother is the pure man. But some people still like her because she is very distingushing.

new semester.

Just like my every other spring semesters, this semester also began in a cold winter. Came back from my hometown for almost half a month, I still could not forget the appetizing taste of my mom’s cooking, and the chocking smell of my dad’s cigarettes. I was not supposed to be so homesick like this since it was the 3rd time I leave my family for another half a year, but this time, I felt extremely sad when I hugged with my mum and waved my hand saying goodbye to her at the airport. Thinking of the past two years I studied aboard, I came back to China only at the summer breaks except for this time. Winter at Illinois was wet and freezing, but it was dry and windy at my hometown. Because I had not been at my hometown during winter for such a long time, my skin on my hands and feet cracked and peeled off when I was at home. Mum laughed at me when she saw it and she said my hometown was regarding me as a stranger. I knew she was joking but may be she was right. I was really getting further and further away from my hometown and becoming a stranger. Dad’s job changed so I could only see him once a week. Even at the New Year’s Day evening, he had to be on extra work at his office according to the policy. He was as delighted as every other time when he saw me came back. He said he was so gratified when he could tell from my behaviors and the way of talk that I got different and matured up, but I could not be as pleasant as him. The difference I could see from him was the longer and deeper wrinkles on his forehead and besides his eyes. Underneath the rest of his black hairs, the gleaming gray hair roots sharply hurt my eyes. Aging and tiredness was wearing him out. Dad’s only wish was all our family members could be all together at the Chinese New Year eve, but the reality was so cruel that me and them had to celebrate this reunion festival in three different places. I miss you Mum and Dad and I wish you a happy new year.
